The declared aim of this publication is to offer, not only to specialists on GIOTTO, but also to the whole art-loving public, a privileged opportunity to meet the “Father of Modern Art”. It was not an easy task to add an original contribution to such a vast production of specialist literature; but this present publication establishes its own unique place as a remarkable pictorial catalogue and also from an interpretative and editorial aspect.

This work distinguishes itself as a complete repertoire and valuable documentation of all paintings attributable to GIOTTO and his school, including the less known works which are kept in museums outside Italy.
